Keep an eye on that connection and make sure it felt tight. Loose or corroded connections get hot and destroy things. It's not fatal, just annoying. I have bins of the proper Italian connectors, the correct crimping tools and suitable wire, but I'd guess I'm close to the only one.
When is the last time you pulled the shower screen and boiled it in Cafiza or whatever you use?
