Jeroen asked about Talmud's size - It usually comes in 6 volumes, each
30-40cm high, 10-15 cm thick, 20-25cm wide. It is includes explanation of
Bible & plus what other people said of those explanations. 
Why to learn Russian? Sometimes I think Brothers Strugatzky's writings worse
this, sometimes I am not sure. KVN definitely worse it and Kozma Prutkov,
but it is more than language, it's culture. There *is* difference between
you plural and single in Russian, although polite version of you single is
identical to you plural.
