http://factfinder.census.gov/servlet/GCTTable?ds_name=D&geo_id=D&mt_name=DEC_2000_SF1_U_GCTPH1_US9&_lang=en This table lists (per geographic area) the population, housing units, area in square miles (total, water, land), and population and housing density per square mile of land area. >or for various countries (I'd be most interested in European countries)? I spent at least half an hour trying to find such a table, but failed (although Dan Minette will probably find one in less than two minutes <grin>). However, the information per country is readily available on-line. My favourite source for such data is the CIA World Factbook (http://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/index.html). If you want to find information on the various European countries, visit http://www.worldatlas.com/webimage/countrys/eu.htm to find the names of all 44 European countries and then look up the information in the CIA World Factbook.
