In the run up to Debacle 2000 I was one of the independents hoping assiduously that McCain would get the nod for the Repub nomination, because I would have voted for him. At the time I was in Feingold's WI. Now I'm back in AZ and still think he should have got in. He'd've been EVER so much better than Bush.
