These are my bread making tips:

1) Search on the web for something called gluten powder. I got mine
from a mad Atkins diet site. Use a rounded tablespoon of this as part
of your wholemeal flour if you want a wholemeal loaf to rise more like
a white loaf.

2) Use walnut oil as your fat.

3) Substitute molasses for half or all of your sugar.

4) Look for something called salad sprinkle which is a mix of pine
nuts, sunflower and pumpkin seeds in the health food shop when you are
buying your molasses and use this as your added mixed seeds.

Delicious, even if it means visiting the temple of unreason that is a
health food shop.

I've never made it on a boat though.
