Correct..but certain people seem incapable of seeing that point of view, since they
are apparently one of the Haves, for whom
Libertarianism would work just perfectly.

As for Chinese culture, certain individuals really need to read a lot more. They have
focussed, just as I said, on all the
negatives of that society. Is one suggesting that there is NOTHING good about Chinese
culture simply because these people are
Communists?

I'm sorry but my mind is a bit more open than that, open enough to know that this is
utter nonsense.

And there are other ways to regulate a population than outright killing of children
after the fact. *rolls eyes*.
Did you know they are to release a male internal contraceptive within the next 5 years
which has little to no side effects
compared to the female 'pill' and is very effective in preventing impregnation, yet
when you stop taking the drug your
potency returns?

Have you thought about providing **incentives** (Research the term POSITIVE
REINFORCEMENT) in the form of tax breaks etc. for
the people that HAVE a set amount of children and stay within the limits that have
been ascertained would allow us to live on
Planet Earth with our resources and survive?

Some people don't want anyone to tell them anything.Whether it would mean we live on
Earth for three centuries or one..they
want to be able to do what they want, when they want to do it, and no group or
government comprised of the society and voted
on by the society must define any sort of rules by which to best live life for the
good of the Society.

All that matters is THEM. And THEIR life. I hear these people loud and clear, its the
underlying basis of everything the
other side has said so far in this discussion. And its what 90% of the Libertarians
I've talked to come back to at the end of
it all.

And its so very funny that this is precisely why the party as a whole can go
nowhere..because a political party is a group of
people with the same ideals working Together. But how can one work together when one's
ideals preach individualism above all
else, and one is against any outside body telling you what to do,regardless of what it
is?

I find it so ironic that the reason why Libertarianism has failed and will continue to
fail can be found right there in the
very foundation of what supporters of this notion say. The proof that it is a flawed
theory is evident in the dysfunction of
the political party.

They want to be able to benefit from living in a society, but only follow the rules
and laws of that society which they agree
with (And thus there must be zero regulation or social services in place, since these
would put an unnecessary requirement to
do something which they don't want to do on them, i.e. help others beside themselves).
They wish the freedom to take take
take for me me me.

Well you know what?

If we actually HAD that freedom that Libertarians so desire, we'd see how many would
sit back and do just that.

I Outlined this when I stated the results of that survey of Fortune 500 companies, who
would no doubt be the vangaurd of the
Corporations that you expect to take over various services once privatised under
Libertarian Rule. They don't care about
Charity...they don't care about giving. They care about their individual companies
(like any good company is supposed to).

So how unfettered capitalism without any form of Government regulation would produce a
stronger and more progressive society
than the current system I honestly can't figure out.Libertarianism at its core is
selfishness.
And it's showing through once more.

It certainly does look good on
paper to someone who has nothing, has no hope of getting anything, risks
starvation of his family as a result, and who sees rich capitalists as
the cause of his miseries.
