I NEVER agreed that Communism sounded good on paper, nor would I ever.
"Despite all claims to the counter" was in reference to the fact that, while
Communism was claimed to be a dictatorless system, its very tenents REQUIRE
a dictatorship to force everyone to do exactly as the dictatorship desires.
Sorry for miscommunicating, Gel.

> But at any rate, I don't see having to pay taxes as someone STEALING
anything from you.

If I really really REALLY don't want someone to take something I have earned
and own, but they take it anyway at the point of a gun (which they will if
you stand in their way long enough), then they're stealing it from me, since
they took it against my will.

> I see admirable things in the Chinese society, the only surviving ruling
communist regime that impacts the world at a global

It hasn't survived as a Communist regime. They are incorporating capitalist
ideas more and more every day so that their economy can survive.

> It is a completel different culture indeed, but as with everything else

Like a total lockdown on the press and free speech? Like arresting and
torturing Christians and other religious people they don't like? Oh, I
could go on and on, but I can't because I get sick to my stomach.

And with regard to your earlier post regarding population control:

> If the population approaches such that the world cannot sustain it then
measures can be implemented to slow population
> growth. Such measures have been implemented in highly overpopulated
regions such as China already with a good measure of
> success.

Do you mean like mandatory baby killing at the hands of a Chinese doctor up
to X minutes after birth has taken place, if the baby is over the
government-imposed legal baby limit for that family? Or mandatory abortions
all the way up to directly before labor and birth under the same violations?
So Gel Stewart is in favor of the government dictating when we can and
cannot have our own children, and then how many we can have? If not this,
then what WERE you suggesting, because these are the ONLY countermeasures
the Chinese have in place today?

> Just as Communism sounded ok on paper, so does Libertarianism...and just
as Communism failed in practice becoming something
> that was totally reprehensible, so too would Libertarianism.

Communism never sounded good on paper, and never will. Neither does slavery
of any other type. Libertarianism can only fail for failures. Libertarians
don't believe in the total abolition of taxes. We believe in the government
providing only absolutely necessary services that we as individuals cannot
by design effectively provide for ourselves, collecting taxes for only those
services, and providing as many of those services as feasible through
private enterprise for maximum bang for our tax dollar buck.

I do not recognize your right to my earnings simply because you have stated
a need to have them.

> I'll answer the rest directly tomorrow after I've slept these boddingtons
off.

When you do, perhaps you'll directly answer the question I posed in my
previous post. It's a critical one.
