Ok here is an example. Concerning Vietnam. Details may be a little sketch,
but this is how it unfolded.

1. America supports Viet Minh (liberation army) during WW2 because they are
fighting Japan (America ememy).
2. When WW2 is over, French seek to reclaim lost imperial territories (i.e..
Vietnam).
3. America abandons Vietnamese liberation army and decided to support the
French colonial 're-invasion' (occupation) of Vietnam.
4. French find themselves fighting Viet Minh (the very people America used
to support).
5. America provides 'aid' to France in the form of weapons etc but does not
directly involve itself.
6. Ho Chi Minh great admirer of the American constitution sends letters to
America asking it to support his own declaration of independence (for
Vietnam). America ignores these letters.
7. French as losing war again Viet Min
8. As a result of being ignored by America, Ho Chi Minh seeks support from
other world powers (China, Russia) and get their support.
9. Paranoid domino theory develops and America suddenly see Hi Chi Minh as a
threat fearing that other countries will 'fall' to the communists. In
reality, Ho Chi Minh is really just a nationalist looking to liberate his
country and declare independence (sound familiar... America).10. Increase
support to the French.
11. French lose decisive battle and proceeds to withdraw completely from
Vietnam
12. The Geneva Accords divide Vietnam in half at the 17th parallel
13. US setup 'puppet' government in the south lead by Ngo Dinh Diem.
14. Geneva accord which stipulated a general (country wide) unifying
elections is reject by Diem with US backing (in other words, there is no way
US will allow a democratic election because of overwhelming support for Ho
Chi Minh would mean they would lose control of south Vietnam.
15. The armed revolution begins as Ho Chi Minh declares a People's War to
unite all of Vietnam under his leadership.
16. America commits military forces to 'protect' their puppet government out
of cold war paranoia...

Skip to 1971: Total American deaths in Vietnam surpass 45,000 Estimated
indo-Chinese dead: 4 million

Does this sound like the work of a just and moral country?
Inside CIA personal speculate that if the US had of supported Ho Chi Minh's
declaration of independence, the Vietnam war would have been entirely
unnecessary because Ho Chi Minh would have been an ally. All because the US
was more interested in allowing France to re-occupy a former colony in our
to restore they pride and power after losing to the Nazis in WW2.

Other examples. Suddam Hussein was financed by the CIA during the Iraq/Iran
10 year conflict because at the time, Iran was an enemy of the US
Bin Laden was financed by the US during the soviet occupation of
Afghanistan.

The US has a history of abandoning former allies when they are no longer
useful (unless of course you are a large European colonial superpower in
which case your safe because the US wont go against you because their
economy is dependant on your).

If anyone ever tells me the US went in to liberated Kuwait for justice and
liberty, they must be on drugs. That was a war over OIL prices. If there was
no oil in Kuwait, America would have done nothing.

If anyone ever tells me the US uphold global democracy and fight in the name
of liberty, I just cite Neapolitan. He fought in the name of liberty as
well.

Enough for now.
