A while back Tiff and I did look into counselling -- as a couple...
specifically looking for a queer-friendly rational-emotive
therapist... and amazingly enough, we found one -- like, the one in a
million guy who does couples therapy for poly / non-monogamous
couples... and was even a rational-emotive specialist iirc... there
was no way we could afford him...

The danger for me is not so much self-deprecation or a feeling of
worthlessness... I used to have trouble with that, but not really much
(if at all) for some years now... Instead my danger now is feelings of
futility... I've been dealing with (or rather more accurately
completely unable to deal with) my pending divorce and child-support
issues for 5 years now... I'm comfortable in my identity -- who I am,
what I want -- I know these things about myself -- sexually, socially,
spiritually. No problems there. But in 5 years I've not been able to
find one avenue or idea that might help resolve the divorce /
child-support issues, with the exception of working 2 jobs (a 9-5
salaried "wage slave" job that barely (or almost barely) pays my bills
- inclusive of the child-support which is currently ~$30K in arrears)
and a 5-12 job trying to produce some kind of software on my own that
might potentially generate a secondary income source I could use to
help resolve the divorce / child-support issue. Currently the wage
from that second job is weighing in at something like 100hrs/$1.
