Oh. See, I was confused about your comments about commies murdering people. And about how capitalists value people. These ones:
"Commies devalue assets and tend to wastefully murder their citizens. People are an asset and every capitalist knows that waste impoverishes us all." Now, I know that the Russian had gulags (as opposed say to black sites and Guantanamo) and that the Chinese have had a cultural revolution or two (as opposed say to wholesale slaughter of civilians who should have known better than to be there and would have if they had spoken English) and actually I do think that capitalism is a pretty good system or I wouldn't be here. But you're the same person who was saying that minimum wage earners were worthless not so long ago so this confused me. I just think there are a lot of cliches in this thread. Many people would say the following also describes Bush pretty well. > Chavez: he's a greedy power hungry megalomaniac that uses populism and > oil wealth to leverage power in country that has a shaky political > systems and feeble democracy. Yes but either you have faith in democracy or you don't. And, pending more info, I still don't see Chavez as a dictator. If he starts talking about suspending elections (cough) I might revise my opinion. > Just because people vote doesn't mean things will work out. 1000 > people can elect a dictator even if 100 million vote. It just depends > on the system. I have no confidence in Venezuela's democracy and, > apparently, they agree with me. Just curious, who is "they" in the above sentence?
