Sundays are my days of rest. Well, I was going to rest all day Sunday but I got really restless as it was gorgeous outside. And I love to play around with the basketball. I did resist running ... As I thought about it for about a minute or so.
I am concsious of not overdoing it, and when I feel a twinge that isn't normal, I slow down or stop. I haven't had to do so since Tuesday last week, when I could only do a 1.5 because a shin splint was bothering me. I've been doing extra stretches before and after and that really helps. I *WANT* that marathon this fall. I found out yesterday there's a 10k coming up in July. That might be the perfect starting point? Why do they call it a brick? And what did you hurt? Cheers, Erika ##| -----Original Message----- ##| From: Deanna Schneider ##| ##| I did my first swim/bike brick last night. Swam 1/4 mile, ##| biked 5 miles fast ##| (12 min/20sec), then 1 mile slow. I really wanted to try to ##| run after that, but I was good and resisted. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:195114 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
