Three words: Exercise In Futility This thread reminds me of the times when I would be in uniform getting gas or some other chore that needs to be done on the way home from work, and someone will approach me and ask if I am in the Army (I call this person Captain Obvious). I say yes, they say 'Yeah, I was going to join but (insert lame ass excuse here).... and try to make small talk. Of course I am polite and talk to them until I am done. I love these folks.
