As I said, I have no issue with trying to help those who want to help
themselves. Welfare, for example, was never meant to be a way of life, it
was meant to help someone get back on their feet after rough times. But we
have generations of families on welfare with no incentive/initiative to get
off.

I am not saying its only the people's fault. On the contrary, I think its
mostly the system's fault. The system makes it a) too easy to stay on or b)
too hard to get off welfare. We should be traching these people skills they
can use to go get a job instead of just sitting around collecting a check
and having babies to get more money.

I am not sure if this has changed, but in New Jersey Medicaid used to cover
reversal of a vasectomy. Correct me if I am wrong, but if you need to be on
Medicaid, is it really a god idea to make it so you can have kids? I don't
think so.

I would also say that this same attitude goes for the bailout bill. I
think any company *cough* AIG *cough* who continues to over spend on stupid
shit should have the money taken back...with interest. I am not saying I am
totally against the bailout, but I think there should have been 'strings'
attached as someone (i think sam) said.
