Um, part of the cool bits about the "green" movement is more conscious
(conscientious?) consumers.
You purporting that it's the factories pushing things towards being
more conservationist? If it were the supply side, I'd think we'd've
been "there" sooner.
The sad thing about capitalism is it's generally about the money.
Which is fine, but please stop knocking people for caring about where
they live and make their lively-hood.
Conserving resources is generally a good idea, in my book (something
about grasshoppers and ants).

No, we're not very good at changing our environment. Nope.
