Are you trying to wipe the partition and build a new one? Or are you trying
to maintain the data?
For the first, if fdisk won't work, you can try the partitioning utilities
common with Linux distros or you can use something like Partition Magic.
For the second, I'd reccomend using a second drive with a filesystem that
can be read by both OS's to temporarily store stuff while you wipe the
partition and build a new one. :-)
