Hi Sean, I think the problem was that all us CF developers associated the words "Macromedia" and "enterprise" with "ColdFusion Enterprise" which is still relatively affordable. As it turns out, ColdFusion Enterprise is not really "enterprise" at all. Or at least only half as much as Flex :) Developers got really excited about coding Flash without the Flash IDE. We thought that Macromedia had come to our rescue. So naturally there was disappointment when we found out that's not the case. Sure, it was due to a misunderstanding... we know that now. Anyway, Brett, there's other solutions out there, I heard about a new one the other day that sounds like it's specifically aimed at developers who can't afford Flex, and coming out soon. I think it's just a case of wait and see.
