Laura...what I meant is that I teach the adult learner so they can answer on
a test...does not mean they will apply it in their life decisions...not
necessarily so...
Even with children...it is difficult unless we change their surroundings...
I volunteered to go into the intercity to teach junior achievement to
elementary students...did I teach them basic business
information...yes...did I change their condition in a way that they would
impact their life...no.
Would I go back and volunteer again ...yes!!!
My Mother is a criminal pyschologist...she designed a program to help woman
get out of prostitution...one of twenty was impacted. So did they
understand the cognitive state of heir condition...yes...could they apply
what they learned and changes EVEN with support...no
Does that stop my Mother at age 74 from trying to guide people help
themselves...no!
