Yes, I agree that more talking is done than testing is done.  However, hearts
and eyes should be easy stuff because the testing is so available at shows.
If you then phase in patellae and finally....the big bugaboo....Hips,  people
will have time to get used to the idea.  If the MVD protocol can then be
announced as being mandatory by a certain year, then breeders would have time
to adjust their breeding programs and breeding plans.  Done in baby steps,
it would succeed.     Incidentally, for all of you who think that hips
aren't a problem in cavaliers, they are.  We prelimed a boy once at 10
months who was OFA good.  By two, one hip had mild dysplasia and he was
placed as a pet.  His litter brother had the same condition he has, but is
still being used for breeding last I heard.  Sooooooo, you can count on
more hip problems in the future for sure.
