Hi Hilarie,

That is the reason that I suggest the breed clubs and breeders form a joint
effort and advertise in the local newspapers.

In my opinion, the average puppy buyer knows nothing about an AKC website,
and the first and probably only place they will go to find an advertisement
is to a newspaper. Then they will probably go to a pet store and ask if they
know of any Cavalier puppies for sale. And then if a friend knows of a puppy
broker, etc., they fall into their hands.

It may sound strange to some of you who have been involved with dogs for so
long, but the average Joe out there is not well informed about AKC or any
other dog club.

This is just my opinion.
