Brokering is addressed both on the Premier site and the Your Purebred Puppy
site. I don't believe the AKC mentions it at all. I have talked personally
with at least 10 people who bought these brokered puppies and have even met
some of the puppies involved. Every single one of these people TRULY
believed the ads about quality imports from Europe. They honestly thought
they were getting something very, very special. The only reason I can come
up with for them believing the ads is that dog breeders seem to be
considered in much the same vein as used car salespeople to the vast
majority of buyers. Therefore they see absolutely nothing strange or weird
about a *breeder* selling their puppies to an unknown person to bring to
this country and resell.

Another perception that will be very hard to change.
