Never--just to refuse. I would treat the person just like my puppy calls. I would ask about the bitch, want to see pictures and pedigree, ask about health, ask what the person was looking for and on and on. I would use common sense and answer honestly. If I felt my dog was not right for the bitch, I would say so. I would never refuse because of people *politics*. Only if I thought it was not good for the breed.
