> I would be most interested in feedback from long time breeders about their incidence of "swimmers" , have I just been unusually lucky or is Myra's information the norm? Jeanie<
Hi Jeanie. In 26 years breeding I've had one swimmer. I didn't hobble his legs, simply exersised his legs several times a day and he turned out fine. Incidentally, I haven't even heard of half the health things coming up on this list never mind experienced them and my dogs are well known for living very long active lives.
