There is one who breeds their bitches to their studs or a friends who lives close because it is financially better for them not because it is the best pedigree. Many many breeders don't test much, often or at all though I am encouraged those that do seem to be increasing.... know why? because the pet owners are demanding it, it is becoming a requirement to be able to sell those puppies at the prices the breeders want. While there are many many breeders who are all that you say there is quite a large number who ARE greedy and ego driven. Pet folk should not lay down and thank breeders for being so kind as to have placed that older dog with them or kneel at their feet in praise that they were allowed to pay thousands of dollars for that mismarked puppy. Pet owners and breeders need each other for each of them to be successful in their chosen endeavors with Cavaliers. They need to treat each other with equal respect instead of constantly fighting to prove which class is top dog.
