I like both clubs as I think both have something to offer, two flavors of

in mind I love ya!

There is way too much TALK. How much concrete action has been done by either
club? Far more talk and posturing. Almost all breeders claim they do all of
the recommended testing and don't breed any Cavaliers that aren't up to
snuff. If this were really TRUE then making public disclosure of testing at
the very least of hearts within a year of breeding of sire and dam by a
registered cardiologist a MANDATORY condition of registering the litter...
would be a no brainer. After all everyone says they do it. So why don't we
have this nor any major groundswell of support for it? Draw your own
conclusions. I would like to see the heart eyes and hips mandatory myself.

What is the age limit? If I recall its pretty young so it really doesn't
have much of an impact. How many people outside of the blatant puppy millers
would really breed prior to this age? Same goes for the maximum number of
litters. These are really not very restrictive guidelines as they are so
broad they only restrict the most blatant of millers in my opinion.

Excuse the language but if they had any balls they would not limit themselves
to words of encouragement but would actually have some enforceable mandates.
"Words of encouragement" to me is covering ones ass and posturing.

Just some thoughts on your thoughts. And like I said I show in both venues
and enjoy much of what both clubs have to offer. I also am disgusted with
some actions and/or lack there of of both clubs.

I do think that if members in rank and of the rank and file in both clubs
expended half the emotion, enthusiasm, and time they do in trying to prove
they are better then the other club into the true welfare of the breed
Cavaliers would be better off.
