Hi, Myra and Cathy,
ANY intervention I do at this time, the vet will want to be involved.
This is partially because she likes it (does equine repro on Wed.). She
will give dopram to me, but no other intervention........she says it is
because she saw a ruptured uterus not too long ago when someone was too
eager with the pit. SIGH
So, our girl is getting those dabs of ice cream and also half a slice
of American cheese twice daily. (She also is on regular vitamins). I'd
not be able to talk my vet into any injectables but dopram off of her
site.
This was news to me and a new policy. Whenever we have discussed these
possibilities in past this policy didn't come up and I was welcome in
delivery and pit was avialable if needed after cervical dilation, etc.
So, Cathy, I'm not distressed at this labor but at the possibility of
dealing with stuff I'd rather do at home having to be done at the vets.
