I know this will sound arrogant and it is but this is how my presentation
goes to prospective buyers who are sitting in my home. I tell them how that
my main concern has to do with the vaccination protocol they are going to
follow and I talk about Dr. Jean Dodds and give them all the info. I also
give them almost 40 pages of information I have put together covering all
areas of concern to me and information helpful to new pet owners. Then I say
"and I insist that anyone who buys a puppy form me promise to listen to me
and not to their vet when it comes to health issues concerning this puppy. I
have the best interest of your dog at heart and the vet is concerned about
paying his bills." Armed with many, many documents from vet schools and
references for them to go to, I have never had anyone (honestly) go against
my wishes. I believe that it is obvious to them that I love my dogs and put
a great deal of time into learning what is best for them. I know that if I
were in their situation I would listen to my breeder as well.
