I would like to thank the three people who made comments about eyes and genetic defects with regards retinal folds, dysplasia and detatchment. It is such a shame that I had to go outside the breed to gather information from a person involved in Australian Shepherd genetics. Seems breeders are more concerned with grooming and showing then they are about breeding sound healthy dogs who will be a joy to own and not a genetic burden for generations to come.
