Leah,
How many responses were you looking for? Leanne posted a very comprehensive
answer to you on the list and I certainly would not have been able to add
anything of further value to her explanation. There are many of us who
care about healthy eyes......but it's redundant to repeat info on the list
that has already been posted by someone else. I'm sure I'm not the only one
that didn't post an answer to you out of thinking your inquiry had already
been answered.

Subject: [CKCS-L] eyes

I would like to thank the three people who made comments about eyes and
genetic defects with regards retinal folds, dysplasia and detatchment. It is
such a shame that I had to go outside the breed to gather information from a
person involved in Australian Shepherd genetics.
Seems breeders are more concerned with grooming and showing then they are
about breeding sound healthy dogs who will be a joy to own and not a genetic
burden for generations to come.
For those who are interested, e-mail me privately and I will fw the info I
have gathered thus far.
To the Canadian listers Happy Thanksgiving and don't over indulge on turkey
and all those delicious trimings.
