I am a DON and when I can, I feed residents. Since when is it not in the
"profession" to have a 1:1 contact with a resident? I agree with the person who
said it is a good way to assess the resident. It also lets the staff know "we
work together". By the way, our administrator brings little treats for residents
(candy if it is allowed) and he personally hands it to the resident. He has
"contact" with the people we call residents and he attends care plan
meetings.
