Was diagnosed back in Jan. '04....started 400mgs. of Gleevec in Feb. '04 and stayed on it since.......have exact same symptoms...maybe not so severe as in the beginning & the fatigue doesn't hit me like it did, but ever so often now....especially if I overdo the day or night before. Then I am just totally wiped out the next day. My cramps are not so often now but will get one still in the arches of my foot if I forget and flex it....I don't do that too much anymore. Not so much diarrhea, either, but usually each morning I must be close to a restroom, :) but would rather have this than the alternative. Also seem to have more gas as well. I gained about 25 pounds......have taken it off and put it right back on. Have decided to try more healthy eating and doing a little more exercise and see if that helps.....I lost so much when first diagnosed that all I heard once beginning Gleevec was "Eat, Eat, Eat", so I did.LOL! Still have the edema around the eyes but not as bad as in the beginning. Nausea is the same way......comes and goes. I've just decided that this is what we have to live with, so accepted it and go on.
