I will have to doublecheck but I think I managed to create both system 7 and
6.08 boot disks using transmac.
The 6.08 file I picked up off the Apple site (disk 1 of 2).
The other way which Gamba suggested was using ShrinkWrap on the Mac but that
requires system 7+??
Antonio's reply seems to suggest rawrite is quite independent of file type.

Regards,

Phil

Can either TransMac or RawWrite make a Mac floppy from a Dart or CompactPro
disk image file?
And can they do it starting with either a .bin or .hqx file?

The original poster was trying to download 7.0.1 on PC then get it over to
SE/30 which has sys 6. All 7.0.1 downloads that I have seen are either Dart
or CompactPro disk images. (Except for Apple's 7.0.1 download which is
.smi, which requires 7.0.1 to mount, not much use to somebody upgrading
from sys 6, duoh).
