No. Never.

Disk Copy 6 images can be compressed, that option is offered in preferences.
afaik the default preference setting is "read-only compressed".

If an Apple disk image is downloaded on PC, decoded, then unstuffed I
thought that would cause loss of an Apple specific file attribute ( a
fork?) that would then make it no longer an exact copy of what it's
supposed to be for writing to Mac formatted disk.
