The thing is that RawWrite actually dumps a whole disk image to a diskette. The
filesystem must be already constructed *inside* the image file. Taking that into
account, it's clear how RawWrite can work transparently with different
filesystem images: HFS from the Macintosh, EXT2 from Linux, ProDOS from the
Apple ][, and, yes, even FAT from DOS and Windows :-) .
