The only experience I have had with "rawwrite" is to create Linux boot disks and although I had seen it mentioned before I did not try as I was of the opinion the disk had to be in HFS format?? By the way thank you for the zipped up system 7 boot image. It was the first the first working boot disk I was able to use.
