I have to say you are missing out by not owning a PC as how else can you
appreciate a MAC??
However I digress and I expect you will understand this more than I but when
I suggested using MacBinary with Transmac it was information that I gleaned
from one of the other threads.
The program itself basically allows PC-Mac & Mac-PC file transfer and one of
the options is MacBinary as well as automatic and HQX. Unfortunately I have
not spent much time experimenting once I got it to work.
The Classic with 7.1 software and PC exchange has no problem reading and
writing PC files and formatting PC disks as you would know but copying a Mac
executable from a PC even with a Mac formatted floppy will not work as the
Mac still looks at the file as a PC file. Transmac takes care of that very
nicely although in some cases MacBinary does not work but the "Auto" setting
seems to.
