I don't know about Dart's format, but I know that CompactPro images will not work. RawWrite (and simmilar software for the PC) can only write raw uncompressed disk images, *without* any header. The image file must be *exactly* 1,440 Kb of size, not a byte more or less. Said in other way, the images must be of exactly 1,474,560 bytes. If the file is a little greater (e.g., a few hundred bytes more), some disk image utilities allow you to "strip" a header at the beginning of the file, but RawWrite doesn't.
As far as I have seen, there are in the web a number of Macintosh boot disk images in formats suitable for writting them with a PC. Most of them are plain 1,440 Kb images that are compressed using ZIP, and some of them are even without compressing. Perhaps I should make a compilation of them in my FTP server :-) .
