I use a collander or strainer.

I put the strainer in the sink and scrape the cooked meat into it from the skillet or pan. I usually rinse it with hot water while it is draining. This helps to wash away the grease.

Hope this helps.

Subject: [CnD] Draining grease from meat

Hi all,

I'd like to thank you for your help on my previous questions. THe one about separating eggs and browning ground beef. It is much appreciated. I have another one, when you brown meat, how do you safely drain the fat or grease? I've never done this myself, and wondered if you had any suggestions. Thank you for any help you can provide.

Musically,
Allison
