I like to toast the bun sometimes, other times, not! Then put the hot dog in
the bun, then the chili over it, and chopped onions, and a tad of either
mustard or catsup, depending on my mood for that day.

I agree with you about putting the hotdog in the bun. If I add cheese, I put

the built hotdogs in the microwave for 15 to 20 seconds to melt the cheese.
