Unfortunately this is approximately where I thouht you were coming from; if
I continued this thread I would simply divert the point of Mark's list. We
have far too big a gulf in our thinking not to drag down the list, and I
flame this sort of thing almost out of habit if not principle...

I state simply nothing can be democratic divorced from the economic system
in which it is a part, and that an Imperialist country (which *does* include
Switzerland) is inherently the most anti-democratic of existence. How such a
state treats the citizens that live within its borders, while not totally
irrelevant, is absoltely secondary and seldom a "plus".

I would take an anti-imperialist butcher ahead of a "democratic" statesman
as an advance for the global working class and the existence of the planets
livability every time, it is more what is true democracy. Considering how
outlandish this must sound to you, I guess I'll leave this here and get back
to systemic analysis of what is happeneing around us.
