The MacBooks power cable attaches magnetically... Stepping on the cord just makes it clip of instead of sending your notebook flying of into an untimely and expensive demise. As great as the Macs are, we work on 24" iMacs and our Sysadmins have MacBooks. We had to wait 3 weeks for parts on one of our iMacs after some flaky hardware and a failed Bootcamp attempt led to the grey screen of death. But what Mac OS can do with 2GB of RAM as opposed to XP or even worse Vista is phenomenal. You barely ever hear the hard drive grind. You have an ultra slick GUI and when you start a shell you have a bash shell at your disposal. Incidentally the iMacs where cheaper by about 5k than the equivalent Dell workstation ( Java Developer Spec ) after we upgraded them to 2GB of RAM.
