Then I suspect your ammo is supersonic. Here are some figures for ammo
I've tested over a chrono from a Sako Finnfire bolt action rifle. Also,
the blow-back design of the 10/22 produces more noise than a closed
breech rifle.

The front end of the PH moderator is a .30 calibre hole. This is to
allow for slight alignment errors wrt the rifle's bore I suspect. These
moderators do not use 'wipes' but baffles.
