Agreed - don't skimp on ammo. it's false economy. I've found RWS and Lapua to
be the most accurate and most consistent: RWS subsonic HP chronographs at
1030fps from the 16-inch barrel (+ moderator) of my old cut-down Winchester
52 target job (this barrel length seems to give maximum velocities, BTW, most
rimfires having excessively long barrels), Lapua subsonic HP very slightly
less, and Lapua Master target fodder 1060fps - the latter is even more
accurate than the HP, still subsonic, and the best bunny ammo I've found. The
lack of a HP matters not for head-shots, and this ammo is no better and no
worse for ricochets.
