The 10/22 seems to give this problem with a few brands of ammo. It does the
same with the RWS.
My view is that the barrel of the 10/22 is too short as there is always a
lot of unburned powder in the mag. If you have a 10/22 you have to clean it
frequently or do some work on the springs.

I have found the best ammo for semi-auto .22s to be the copper-washed
Federal high-velocity loads. The American Eagle is also quite good but
expect the occasional feed failure as the bullet may stub on the feed
ramp. Eley has lubricant or something on the bullet which rapidly
gums up the feed ramp and causes feed failures, I don't think they
had semi-autos in mind, although it might be an idea to try their pistol
ammo in a 10/22.
