Frank: Thank you for the information. I will be posting sometime this
weekend or early Monday. This first draft is unpolished and might see
rewriting or redistribution of content, but all the principal concepts are
there and most of the logic of progression too. This part covers mostly
elements in the theory of database design. The next part is the 'hands-on'
component and Andrew's help is going to be fundamental here. I am very
enthusiastic about this phase too.

Andrew: Thank you for the information on data variable types and memory
restrictions. What you sent was really appropriate and came in at the
right time! Please do not forget the ranges of the numeric variable types.

Part II of the tutorial will deal with the development of a small database
to keep track of clients and providers. The tutorial will start with a
problem and show how to put the elements described in Part I to work in
fleshing out goals, classes and relationships. It will then refine data
structure to produce trustable and valid tables, connections and
cardinalities Base can work with. Your help will be fundamental not only
to ensure the appropriateness of the data structure but also to help
explain how to code that with Base in a working application.

Cheers,

Mariano.
