Let say you have 1200 of 75000 messages not translated. Can you estimate how long it would take to translate them? I do not think so. In the software localisation industry the word count of source text is used dominantly. Of course it should be done more intelligent way than 'wc -w en-US.sdf' in order to get rid of tags and other not translatable contents.
