I know! Your it's the very first plugin I install :-)
The original post is about not losing features and breaking projects
when moving away from 8.2 and into apache land. I'm wondering if the
automatic (or at least semi-automatic) download technique can be
leveraged into a general mechanism at least for previously supported
features; even to add new features that can't be included due to
licensing issues.
That would depend on the feature, I imagine.
The JavaHelp feature, for instance, was lost during the migration
because of licensing problems IIRC, but this is so integrated in the IDE
that an alternate solution that we can maintain is probably the way to go.
The bindings feature can be uploaded to the plugin portal from Emi's
backup [1] (after mavenizing it). This looks like an excellent
opportunity/exercise for users & companies that depend on it to
contribute it back to the Apache NetBeans Community through the Plugins
Portal.
