Hi Scott,

The point that seemed to have been highlighted was that user experience
processes have happened successfully in Waterfall projects in the past, and
although Agile has a flexible frame that is theoretically ideal for
inserting UxD processes, if badly implemented will generate the same
constraints as badly implemented Waterfall projects. 

Unfortunately, in some professional projects it is not a question of only
picking and choosing what works for you or not, mostly when you are one of
the other 100 guys putting together a massive booking system in several
languages, with the added pressure that at the end of the iteration the
system has to be valued high enough to be sold to a financial group. What is
chosen to be the method is what one has to follow (including the priority
that has been assigned for accessibility, web standards and HCI).
Unfortunately in real life not everyone can take the ideal, one-sided stand
as not every project is as simple as a salad.
