Hi Scott, The point that seemed to have been highlighted was that user experience processes have happened successfully in Waterfall projects in the past, and although Agile has a flexible frame that is theoretically ideal for inserting UxD processes, if badly implemented will generate the same constraints as badly implemented Waterfall projects.
Unfortunately, in some professional projects it is not a question of only picking and choosing what works for you or not, mostly when you are one of the other 100 guys putting together a massive booking system in several languages, with the added pressure that at the end of the iteration the system has to be valued high enough to be sold to a financial group. What is chosen to be the method is what one has to follow (including the priority that has been assigned for accessibility, web standards and HCI). Unfortunately in real life not everyone can take the ideal, one-sided stand as not every project is as simple as a salad. Cheers, Luis ________________________________________________________________ Welcome to the Interaction Design Association (IxDA)! To post to this list .......
