Good timing on this topic, I am starting to look for a new job (while still employed), I've got over 13 years doing paid sysadmin work (and several years of unpaid work prior to that), but no certifications. Are there any that are considered worthwhile enough that they are worth me spending my own money on them? or would a single cert (or small number of certs) on my resume look strange and highlight the lack of certs?
