Oh shoot, my brain is tired out after a long day of classes. I *am* sighted. I guess I was indecisive over what I should have written. At any rate, if it's of any interest why I did care about jaws and VO, it was because I was doing some volunteer work for visually impaired folks. Some of them weren't comfortable using computers, and the easiest solution was learning it myself, getting used to it, and then helping them out with it. What's of interest about that is it's probably a lot better when someone *knows* what you are talking about having experienced it themselves and can help you with the best solution they can think of...instead of someone reading off some document or whatnot like the Apple store folks are likely to do, hehe.
Lastly, I might as well not waste this email, so here's a tip. If you've had an exceptionally terrible time at an Apple store, and talking to the manager didn't solve it, I suggest emailing [EMAIL PROTECTED] It's supposed to be the official Steve Jobs apple email address, and someone reads all the emails sent there. If you have a complaint (along with names, numbers, your own contact details), someone will most likely get back to you to see what they can do to help. I note that the original writer of this topic got a response from [EMAIL PROTECTED], but I think that address should more generally be reserved for accessibility-specific gripes (like the suggestion of an accessibility guru), and not so much general frustration. cheers, jane On Wed, Sep 24, 2008 at 11:49 PM, Jane Lee <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > My sorta long ranty two cents.... >
