Good observation about human nature. Have you ever visited a foreign country and not known even one word of the language? Now compare that to learning a few words about the language prior to your visit? I wonder if you made a list of five to ten basic VO naivigation commands (ie, how to turn on VO, how to invoke the VO training, how to move through the Finder, how to get to the dock, etc) and then approached an Apple store employee and told them that it was your understanding that these commands would work in OSX and you would like to try them out? I would think that any employee would be impressed and curious enough to encourage both of you to explore more. Now compare that hypothetical reaction to the very real reaction of approaching a store employee and asking "how do I invoke the Voiceover training"? Remember, these employees most likely have never seen VO in action, if they are even aware of it. Frank

I'm just wondering whether we are asking for a level of navigational knowledge that the staff are not used to having to give. I think it is unfair to go in with no idea about Voice Over, it is much better if you walk in with a list of commands and some knowledge of how to get yourself started, interact with an area on screen etc. At 11:20 23/09/2008, you wrote: >23 sep 2008 kl. 02.01 skrev Cara Quinn: > >> Out of Curiosity, what would you / others here like Apple store >>employees to know about VO, on average?...
